Candlelight Vigil to Honor Victims of ICE/CBP

Join New Orleans DSA and our community members as we honor the victims of ICE and CBP violence with a Candlelight Vigil on Cabrini Bridge this Saturday, July 18. We will begin at 7 pm. We will also be collecting donations to help support families who can’t leave their houses safely. Hope to see you there. Solidarity!

Direct Service & Health Justice: F&KC This Sunday

Volunteer here for our Fork & Knife Club Food Distribution THIS Sunday, July 19, 11 am – 1:30 pm at the Healing Center #258! One of our biggest needs is cooked dishes to plate up. Monetary donations help with food & supplies. Join us in filling these community fridges! 🍴❤️

Our next meeting is this Tuesday, July 21, at 6 pm. Any ideas on future initiatives, or ways we can bring F&KC to New Orleans East, are especially welcome.

Community Resource Shout-Out: Common Ground Relief

Have a giant plastic or reusable “bag of bags” sitting in your kitchen? Bring it to Common Ground Relief at 1804 Deslonde St in the Lower 9th. They also accept glass for Glass Half Full and aluminum cans for Nola Cans 4 Food. They offer 24/7 drop-off.
